NELSON ICARANOM
Could be considered as the "Father of Virac Pop Music" as manifested
by his pioneering acts in composing popular music using the unique
Virac dialect during the early part of his college days. He is well
thought out to be the main brain in the making of ISLA's signature
song "Mutya ning Virac". He plays the guitar well and had a brief
stint with the CSC combo as bass guitarist. Known to friends and
associates as "Bogs Adornado" of Catanduanes, was an athletic scholar
during his varsity years and one of the best CSC has produced where
he earned his AB-Economics degree. He is one the finest basketball
players the province had with two MVP awards in local tournaments.
He is currently in the foreign service assigned at the Philippine
Embassy in Brunei Darussalam as protocol officer and attache, until
his tour of duty ends in 2006. He is married to Elsa Vargas of Legazpi
City and blessed with five children - Jaylord Nelson, Ma. Hilda,
Christina Irish, Jeric Nelson and Gillian Gloria."

JERRY A. TABIRAO
The main lyricist/composer of the group is a Commerce Accounting
graduate at the Lyceum of the Philippines and is presently working
as Head of the Budget Office of the Philippine National Museum.
He loves to work with his computer. A very good folksinger in
his own right and once a finalist in the 1st National Pinoy Folk
Competition in the late '70s also participated in by the popular
groups of folksingers Asin, PenPen, and Coritha.
Jerry, also known to close friends as DEURDS,
also played competitive basketball during his teen years and thus
a veteran of numerous local tournaments. He owns more than a hundred
original song compositions, still unrecorded, that varies from
Bicol, Tagalog, and English and had been gifted the talent of
writing songs in just about twenty or so minutes. He is the only
son of the late Felix Tabirao and former Elpia Arcilla, and is
married to the former Veronica Sumalde of the musically inclined
Alcala/Sumalde family.They were blessed with four children - Gerardo
Paolo, Patricia Angela, Maria Divina and Jericho Emmanuel. Deurds
is a forever member of the Jubilant Choir.

JOSE ICARANOM, JR.
Nonong, as what his close friends calls him is the only musician
by profession in the group and is also the chief arranger. He
plays various kinds of musical instruments and started his music
career with the Jubilant Sounds at the Catanduanes Hotel in 1981.
A former keyboard player of the Arcilla Band, once a member of
Boy Sullivans Band, The Music Family Band in Manila, and the Band
Leader of Music Academy Band in Kumamoto, Japan in 1991. A fourth
year engineering student in Technology Institute of the Philippines
before settling in music world and is a Basic Computer graduate
at Systems Technological Institute (STI). He is also an athletic
scholar at the CSC being a member of the 1978-1981 Basketball
Varsity, and a veteran of the 1st National SCUAA in Isabela and
is one of the high leaping small players at the CSC had, also
a veteran of regional invitationals and local tuornaments. He
is also the official accompanist of the first finalist from Catanduanes,
National Level (wind instruments) at National Music Competition
for Young Artist (NAMCYA) in 1978 at Cultural Center of the Philippines
(CCP). Nonong is married to the former Marilou Sebastian and like
his brother Nelson, are the only sons of the late Jose Icaranom,
Sr. and former Sangguniang Bayan Member, the late Gloria Masagca-Icaranom.
He is also a forever member of the Jubilant Choir, and presently
the Manager for Operations of the Music Systems, The Art of Electronic
Music.
